This piece was inspired by an urge to challenge myself as an artist. Life allows for many experiences and options to explore. As an artist, I explore as much as possible. Challenging my understanding of color theory and emotions derived of color, a monotone painting was born. Within Cerise Posy, I mixed different shades of pink to elicit different emotions within one painting. Reclaiming the color pink, the Zygopetalum orchid, adds to my mellow love of the color.
