About The Artist

Mya, professionally known as Myade, is an abstract visual artist. Her work focuses on painting the feminine experience, exploring free expression, the vastness of nature, faith, and femininity through layered, non-representational compositions that reflect both the light and shadows of womanhood. Guided by emotion and intuition, Denise creates pieces that encourage viewers to find meaning through their own perspectives and lived experiences.

Working with a mix of acrylics, oil sticks, and ink, Denise builds textured surfaces that flow with movement, depth, and feeling. Her use of color and nature elements invites peace and harmony, while the use of florals symbolize the bloom of feminine self discovery, growth and transformation. As both an artist and woman navigating her own journey of becoming, Denise's process is one that grows with her. Her work speaks to the beauty we find reflected to us in the world around us.
